The Mojave Experiment

A couple of weeks ago we had a discussion about your opinions on Vista.  We discussed that the public perception of Vista was pretty negative.   Well, to help continue that discussion our website of the week this week is http://www.mojaveexperiment.com/.

Now before you think I’m trying to get you to drink the Microsoft Kool-Aid, I’m adding this as our website of the week because I want to spark a discussion both on air and online.  I’m curious to know what you think about this.  I’d like to hear your opinions on the idea of the “experiment” itself.  I’d also like to hear if this changes your opinion of Vista if you had a bad impression of Vista in the first place.  I’m looking at this not from the point of view of someone who is trying to convince you that Vista is ok, but if this type of a marketing idea will work.

When we talked about it before, we brought up the ad that MS ran before that compared the public’s perception of Vista with the notion that people used to think the world was flat.  This ad campaign seems to be the next, even more aggressive step in that direction.  So what do you all think?  Comment on the post and let us know!  We can discuss it here and also on the show.  I’m really interested in hearing your opinions about it.
